Oluwafemi enrolled in the Materials Science and Engineering Ph.D. program at UConn in Fall 2022, following the completion of his Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa and Bachelor of Engineering degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria.

His research focuses on the application of machine learning and deep learning methods to investigate the structure-property relationships within catalyst layers of fuel cells and electrolyzers. In the dynamic intersection of science and innovation, his mission is to continually push the boundaries of understanding in materials science and engineering through transformative research.

Beyond the laboratory, he finds joy in diverse activities such as singing, playing the piano and cherishing moments with his family.
